BR 2-02: Rich Man, Poor Man (T.C. Jupp, 2005)

"I felt old and I felt poor again" (Jupp, 2005, p. 31)


This story about a poor old man. He wants to change a check to money. A check from old man's son and It's written one hundred ponds! A poor man: Adam is from the village of Minta. It's poor village and there is no school. One day, he gave a check from his son. It was one hundred ponds check. He thought that he became rich man! So he went to Darpur to chenge a check to money. In Darpur, first, he went to post office. But, as he had no ID, he couldn't chenge money. So he went to the Ministry of the Interior to make ID card. At the Ministry of the Interior, he coldn't make ID card. That's because he didn't have three photographs.

After all, he coldn't make ID card and he coldn't get one hundred ponds. When he asked Mr Sheth who is very rich man, Mr Sheth gave Adam ten ponds. Then Adam felt poor again.

I felt a little sad when I read this book. Because, Adam is too old to know nothing. In Darpur, everyone called him stupid man. But I learned a lot of things from this book, so I want you to read this book.I was impressed from this book. Rich man didn't care a poor man. But a poor man dreamed to became rich. I thought everyone think to become rich.
