Speaking Presentation III

I presentated about Step Up. It is dance movie. There are 3 sereas. "Step Up", "Step Up the Street", "Step Up 3D". I really like them and I have those DVDs!!!

First, I introduce about "Step Up". This main character is Tyler Gage. He was a bad guy at first but his personarity is very good and around people like him. He likes dancing very much so he dance everytime and everywhere. Nora Clark is heroine. She is a student of the Meryland school and major in dance. She is a good daner and dreaming to go to famouse dance university. My favorite highlight is club scene. This scene's dance and songs are so fun. We can dance easily. From this time, Ther associated with Nora. Second, I like recital scene. Tyer and Nora's dance scene is very beautiful.

Next is "Step Up the Street". Main character is Andy. She really loves dancing. So Tyer recommend her to enter Meryland school. But she couldn't familiar with this school. After she joined Chase's dance team. Hero is Chase. He is a student of Meryland shool. He was boring everyday. That's because he wanted to dance with team but he always danced balett. So he gathered dance team in the shool. My favorite highlight is Tyer and Andy's dance battle. They battled at club. Andy danced very good but Tyer was better than her. They danced with trampoline. Salsa scene is cute scene. Andy and Chase danced Sals. Not only Andy is good at hiphop but also she is good at Salsa. Also Last dance scene is good too. Chase's team daned in rainy. A splash was amazing! Their dance and team work was fantastic. That was street dance!

Third, I want to tell you "Step Up 3D". Luke was main character. He was a dancer and he was gathering dance team. He falled in love with Natalie. Moose was second main character. He entered in New York university. He majored in enginnering. He really likes dance but he decided to quit dance. Then Luke scouted Moose to join his dance team. Camille was Moose's bestfriend. She entered in New York university too. She likedMoose ut he didn't notice about that. Camille entered Luke's dance team and she associated with Moose the last scene. My favorite highlight was water battle scene. This dance scene was so cool! Hiphop and breaking were very fantastic! And Moose and Camille's dance scene was very cute. They danced the song that was they met first and dance with. Also last dance scene was fabolouse. Luke's dance team fighted with Samurai team that was Luke's enemy. His team won Samurai and got the first prize!!!

Today, I will introduce about Argentina. Argentina is in South America. In summer is very hot but in winter, it is very cold. Population is 39, 100, 000. They use Spanish. And there are Itarian and Spanish. Do you know about Argentina's flag? Blue means the sky and the sea also it means justice, truth and friendship. Center of the flag sun called 'the Sun of May'. Traditional foods are Milanesa and Empanadas and so on. Milanesa looks like a gyouza. Argentin is famouse for wine. Most of wine is produced by Argentin. And Argentina's popular sport is soccer. In 1978, FIFA world cup was held in Argentina. I think you have ever watched their uniform. Argentina's traditional dance is Argentine Tango. It is so hot. A few years ago, one Japanese woman got the first prize of Argentine Tango's contest. I think you will like her dance!

BR 2-15: Wait and See (Wall, 2007)

"His hair was the same colour as mine!" (Wall, 2007, p.14)

Zak and his brother Adam are twins. They look very similar and people are always getting them mixed up. Sometimes, Zak's friend call him Adam and Adam's friend call him Zak. Zak don't want them to miss their names. One day, Zak came up on one idea.

He went to the hairdresser and let him change his hair colour. Then, his hair was red instead of blond. There was no way people would mix up Adam and him now. He couldn't wait for people to see how different he looked. The first person he saw was his sister Abby. She was surprised and laughted. Zak didn't know why she laughted. She said him "You will have to wait and see!"

The next person he saw was his mom. She was also surprised. Zak didn't know why she surprised. She smiled and said 'Wait and see..." His dad home from work. When he saw Zak, he dropped his bag. Zak asked his father why everyone so suprised. His father said "Wait until dinner time and then you will see.

When his mother called everyone. Zak walked down the hall and he wondered what Adam would think when he saw me. Everyone was at the dinner table. He stared at Adam and also Adam stared at Zak. His hair was the same colour! Their thinking was same. They dicided they wanted to look different. They always have the same ideas. Everyone started to laugh. And then, they decided to go back to blond. Adam's hair back to blond. In thier school, their friends call Adam 'Blondie' and call Zak 'Spike'.

I think that twins are very strong connection. Their mind is always same I think. When I was junior high school, I have twins friend. They were very similar. They were different class but if they change, we don't aware. But now they don't similar.

BR 2-14: The Jewellery Shop Robbery. (Reilly, 2007)

"The jewellery robbers are next door" (Reilly, 2007, p.14)

Eddie is a boy who is a student. When he was walking home from school, he was a lot of people outside the jewellery shop. He asked a woman what's going on. She said that the jewellery shop has been robbed and they took all jewellery. After he came home and watching TV. It said that people on the street had seen the men get away in a red car. When Eddie came home from school, he saw a red car parked outside the empty house next door. He thought that it must be the jewellery shop robber.

After that, he went outside to see a red car and the house next door. The red car was still parked there. And he heard a noise from the empty house. He looked inside this house, there were two men sitting at a table. And they were taking jewellery. Eddie was very surprised that.

Eddie moved away and he ran down the path. He said 'Mum, Mum! Call the police! The jewellery robbers are next door!' to his mother. But she didn't believe first what he said. Eddie talked his mother that it really true. She could see that he was not making it up and she called the police.

The police came to the house and they took the robbers away. The police said to Eddie 'You are going to make a good detective one day.'

I thought Eddie was a very brave boy. When he knew that the robber may still be the empty house, he went out quickly. If he didn't go, they didn't take away. I think he became very famouse boy in his school and his town. He saved his hometown!

BR 2-13: Battle of the Bands (Millett, 2007)

"Hey, I konw how we can do this!" (Millett, 2007, p.13)

Molly is a member of band Street Smart. This day, they had the Battle of the Bands competition. Jasmine, their drummer, had butterflies in her stmach. Wild Ride is enemy for Street Smart. They are a great rock and band do their thing. But their song was so loud.

Before Street Smart start to band, Jasmine was so nervous. And their turn came. They readied to band. Suddenly, there was a loud bang, and the power turned off. The school hall fell silent. Their face dropped. Suddenly, Molly came up on an idea. She asked them to sing 'Forever'. The one Jasmine played at my brother's wedding. This song don't need any power, so they can sing nothing instroments.

And they sung 'Foever'. The audience was listening really hard. When they finished singing, everyone jumped out of their seats and cheered like never before. Street Smart was surprised that. And the name of the winner of the Battle of the Bands competition was Street Smart!

The book tought me that sometimes happening help us. If the happening don't happen, they may not win the competition. Their choice needed courage. Sometimes I dance somewhere, and if there are happening, I couldn't do like them.

BR 2-12: Time Travel: Ship Ahoy! (Branch, 2007)

"I can't wait to see where the time machine takes us this time" (Branch, 2007, p.9)

Georgia and Charlie are best friends. They had a time machine inside a tree trunk at the bottom of their garden. So they could go everywhere. For example, they backed to the time of the dinosaurs. Georgia really likeed adventure. On the other hand, Charlie was a bit afraid. When Georgia pressed a green button, the time machine took them to the ship in the port.

There were a lot of people who were waiting the ship. Then, there was standing on a dock looking at a big passenger ship. Suddenly, people turned to Georgia and Charlie. People talked them "Look at their clothes!" "Look at their hair!" and so on. People have never seen like their fashion. One boy who is rich boy introduced around the big ship to Georgia and Charlie. The boy is going to get on this ship because his aunt is taking him for his birthday.

Georgia looked at the ship in horror. It was written 'TITANIC'. She could not let him get on the ship. The boy really wanted to get on this ship but he couldn't get on. At last, the ship went away and the boy was so angry. Charlie didn't know why she couldn't let the boy to get on the ship. After they went back, she told him to tell the truth.

I liked this book. Last page was like a newspaper about TITANIC. It hitted an iceberg and more than 1500 people died when the ship sank. Georgia knew about that. The reason why she couldn't let the boy to get on it is this reason. She is smart and kind girl I thought. If the boy get on it, he would die.

I have ever watched 'TITANIC'. It was very sad movie. Jack fell in love with Rose and Rose did too. When Jack sank in the deep sea, I felt very sad. I watched this movie when I was 5 years old. At that time, I didn't know the story and I didn't know why the people were sad. When I grow up, I knew the reason. I think 'TITANIC' story was talked forever.

Welcome to International Cocktail Party! My name is Laura and I will introduce about L.A. America.

Do you know about American frag's mean? Star means number of statue, brue means justice, red means courage, white means truth. And American people call this flag "the Stars and Stripes". L.A.'s place is west America. There are a lot of place to see. American President is Obama. He is the first man as black. Country's bird is Bald eagle. We can see on 5 cent. There are a lot of sightseeing. Chinese theater and Venice Beach is one of them. Venice Beach is very beautiful place.

Next I will talk about myself. My job is pro tennis sport player. I think I am good player in the world. And my dislike things is dogs! People say they are so cute but I don't think so. My hobby is shopping. There are a lot of shops in L.A. Especially I like Abercrombie & Fitch. I also like eating. America has a lot of foods. Sweets are so sweet!!! Also looks are very cute. To go to theme park makes me fresh. There are Disney Land and Universal Studio in America. I like them very much!!!

Draft essay posts 2-03: How I study language

I learn English for 8 years. Almost I have learned English at school. Grammar, listening, reading and writing. I think that speaking is the most important but I little learned speaking. Of course grammar and other things are important. However if I have to use speaking English, I will upset. Now I major in English but I only use English once a week; speaking class.

I think that to skill up speaking is to go to foreign country and don't use Japanese. When I went to Australia to home stay, there were no Japanese in host family. So I couldn't use Japanese. I understood what they said. I thought that I liked watching foeign movie or foeign drama TV. So I listen to English easily. My host mother said that 'You can hear what we say but you can't say what you want to say in English, can't you?' That's true. I couldn't say in English what I wanted to say. This time I decided that to study listening.

This spring vacation, I went to New York to study dance. Before I went there, I learned travel English. But I couldn't use that any more. Dance words are common language. So I could understand what teacher said and how to dance routine. I had one srogan then. It was 'make some friends'. I wanted to speak any people but I couldn't do that. If anyone spoke to me, I spoke as possible as I could. My speaking understood to foeign people. I was very happy then. Didn't make friends and spoke to people more was reglet things to me.

In America, there are a lot of imigrants. So there are a lot of reglects. Sometimes I didn't understand what language they said. I heard that Spanish is the second language which is spoken by American. There are a lot of imigrants especially in New York. I saw European, Asian and so on. Once, I talked with colonbian. He was good at speak English.

To go to foeign country, especially to be spoken that you want to speak anywhere country's language, is good for learning languages. To hear native language and don't use Japanese are more good.  Next year, I am going to go to study abroad to Australia for 4 months. I chosed the  shool taht there are little Japanese. So I can't use Japanese there. It will make me to skill up my English.

Of course I study English at school every day. But its boring. So I watch DVD or go to the movie thater or watch foreign TVchannnel. It is good tool study speaking and listening. Those channels have the latest word which young people use. I remember some prases. For example 'What's the hell?', 'I don't think so' and so on. I wish I can use those words frequentry.

How I have learnt languages

I learned English since I was elementary school. When I was 12 years old, I went to English school. There were Canadian teacher. She was very funny and very good teacher. I learned a lot of word from her. Her teach was singing and dancing, so I could learn easily. I remember that her hot cocoa was very delicious. In junior high school, I almost learn grammar and reading. At first I couldn't understand grammar. But I learned from my mother or home teacher and I could understand. While I was junior high school, my English score was over 40! (Max was 50). I was good at English, especially grammar and reading. In high school, English level were high. I had to learn a lot of words and grammar. It was so nervous and I felt that I didn't want to learn English sometimes. But I was 2 grade, I went to Australia. It was very good experience for me. I spoke to homestay's family and school children. I enjoyed very much there. But this time I found one thing. I could listen to English that someone spoke but I couldn't speak that I want to say. So I decided that I had to learn speaking more at that time. 3 grade, I had to decide where to go to university. I wanted to go to Kenritsu University. But I don't know why I decided there. I fell there and I passed KGU. Now, I glad to come to KGU and I am happy to learn English. I can speak with foreign country people. Other, I am cram school teacher. I teach them that you have to remember a lot of words and remember text book. I find how student understand English. When I hear 'I got it!', I feel so happy and

BR 2-11: Inside the Gate (Reilly, 2007)

"It is like a sea of green." (Reilly, 2007, p.12)

Kemzie who is waiting for her grandma was sitting on thd doorstep. It was dusty outside. The wind was whipping at the earth and sending clouds of brown dirt all around the town. At last, her grandma came back. She was covered in dust. The why Kemzie waited for granma was to help her plant trees. That's because this day, someone came to them at school and how to plant trees. So she wanted to help planting trees for her grandma. She learned trees to give them wood, shade and fruit, and to help keep the Earth well.

And she went to go to the nursery where has a lot of trees and a huge vegetable garden. It was like a sea of green. She was into the nursery and she met one woman who told how to plant trees to her. Her name was Makena. At the back of the nursery, there were a lot of people and they were putting small trees int sacks. There were a girl who is Kemzie's friend, Anne. They helped putting the trees on the back of a truck. It was hard to her but Anne made her funny.

At the break time, Makena told people the story. When she came here at the firsttime, there was nothing. So she and her friends planted many trees. And now, there are a lot of trees and water. After her story, Kamzie thought that she wants to plant trees more and wants to clean the Earth.

She went back home and her grandma was surprised to see the plant. She looked so happy. And maybe many people plant trees, air will be fresh. Of course water will be clean. Everyone will be happy!

After I read this book, I thought that to save the Earth is very important for every people. I heard that the Earth's templature will be more high and this is the highest in 10 years. I was surprised to hear that. There are a lot of eco goods but global warning is continuing. I wish the Earth will clean more someday.

BR 2-10: Jump! (Millett, 2007)

"The parachute didn't open!" (Millett, 2007, p.10)

Logan and Kyle are friends. They challenged to jump from plane where is high place. When the plane gettig higher, Logan was so afraid. It was the first time for Logan to jump. On the other hand, Kyle has ever jumped many times so he wasn't afraid that. Logan asked him how about your first jump and whether he felt afraid. But Kyle said that he wasn't feel afraid my first jump. And he advised Logan don't look down.

Before Logan was about to jump, he asked Kyle what happens if we have a problem. And Kyle said that there isn't going to be a problem. But Logan's afraid didn't corm down. He afraid that parachute is going to open.

First, Kyle and his instructor, Murray, jumped. They enjoyed jumping very much. Logan was still afraid and he didn't want to jump. Kyle and Murray fell quickly. Logan dicided to jump finally and he said "Let's go." to his instructor, Harry. At last they jumped to the air. They fell quickly throught the air. But it happened. The parachute didn't open! Harry was upset and of course Logan was afraid so much.

But Harry solved the problem. He pulled another cord. So they could fell down safety. When he landed the ground Kyle has already landed. They smiled each other. Logan was happy that he could jump. Next, they will go another jump!

I want to jump someday. As watching TV, sometimes someone jump from the plane or high place. I have ever watched that a man jumped to propose his girlfriend . I thought she couldn't say no. My boyfriend never do this.
